V roce 2022 připadá Den bezpečnějšího internetu na dneční den – 8. 2.
Také tentokrát Policie ČR využila tohoto již velmi známého mezinárodního dne k připomenutí základních bezpečnostních pravidel pohybu v prostředí internetu.
„Počty registrovaných případů se zvyšují, ale struktura trestné činnosti v prostředí internetu se výrazně nemění,“ podotýká k vývoji kriminality v online světě vedoucí oddělení prevence Policejního prezidia ČR plk. Zuzana Pidrmanová. „Konkrétněji se dá říci, že nejrozšířenější je stále majetková trestná činnost, velmi často v podobě různých druhů podvodů. Setkáváme se ale také s trestnými činy v oblasti poškozování a zneužití záznamu na nosiči informací či opatření a přechovávání přístupového zařízení a hesla, s mravnostní kriminalitou v podobě šíření nebo držení dětské pornografie, navazování kontaktu s dětmi s cílem od nich vylákat erotické materiály a v menší míře také sexuální nátlak, ale také s případy padělání platebního prostředku, porušováním autorských práv atd.,“ upřesňuje plk. Pidrmanová.
